Frequently Asked Questions For Perinatal Therapy
Do you only provide online sessions?
No, I offer text based therapy and in person postpartum sessions for moms who live local to Jackson/Cape Girardeau, MO. All online therapy sessions are provided virtually through TheraNest, a secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Online therapy allows women across Missouri and Florida to access support for postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, fertility challenges, IVF stress, birth trauma and motherhood transitions from the comfort of their own home.
Do I Have to Commit to Long-Term Therapy?
Not at all. Many women reach out because they need support with a specific challenge, decision, or season of life and aren't sure whether they need ongoing therapy.
Some clients benefit from just a few sessions, while others choose to continue longer. Therapy is personalized to your needs, goals, and preferences.
Even if you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, a single session can provide support, clarity, education, and practical tools to help you move forward. We can discuss your goals together and determine what level of support feels most helpful for you.
Can I use my phone for therapy?
Yes! You can use any smartphone for online therapy sessions, including video appointments and text-based therapy. A laptop or tablet may also be used for video sessions. For text-based therapy, a smartphone is required.
